Nirmal Purja, also known as "Nimsdai," is a Nepalese mountaineer and former Gurkha soldier who has gained worldwide recognition for his incredible achievements in the field of mountaineering. He is known for his remarkable speed and determination in summiting some of the world's highest peaks, including all 14 of the 8,000-meter peaks in just over six months, setting a new world record. Nirmal Purja was born on July 25, 1983, in Dhaulagiri, a remote village in Nepal. He joined the British Army's Gurkha regiment at the age of 18 and served for 16 years, rising to the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1. During his military career, he gained extensive experience in high-altitude mountaineering and completed several expeditions, including summiting Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, multiple times.
